Every year the Symphony Fashion Show is one of the shows I look forward to the most of any event in Nashville. It is not only the most beautiful venue Nashville has to offer, it is the amazing presentation and exquisite execution that keeps me going every year. This year's featured designer was Christian Siriano. As a fashion addict I am always one to stalk the collections seconds after they hit the runway, however, to be perfectly honest, his collections were never on my radar. That will be changing as I was absolutely blown away by every piece that was sent down the runway. His silhouettes were modern yet classic; a nod to Dior's revolutionary new look. Cinched waist lines and full gorgeous skirts, and the hats, oh my goodness the hats! Everything from the color stories to the divine fabrications were the work of absolute precision and genius. I could seriously go on and on, but I will leave you with some photos of my favorite looks.

Since having baby, my blogging days have been few and far behind. Eight months into Mommy hood there are seldom events that really motivate me to leave my baby at home. The Private Edition blogger's party, however, is one of such events. When I worked in cosmetics, YSL and Laura Mercier respectively, I met so many amazing ladies and gents that it is always so nice to run into a few familiar faces. Not to mention the other lovely blogging ladies of Nashville. For those of my readers that don't live in Nashville. Private Edition is a Nashville staple in the luxury cosmetics and cosmeceutical circle. Posted below are few of many amazing lines that Private Edition carries that are hard to find in our fair city. Manager, Hollie, is a go to for any skincare tips and tricks as well as a full staff of highly skilled artists. Private Edition is one stop that should most definitely be on your radar.
Last Thursday proved that nothing can stop women from getting their shop on. With temperatures in the low 20s the 2nd annual Wine Women & Shoes event was packed to the gills with women doing just that, getting their shop on! Each year The YWCA of Nashville gathers the most stylish shops, salons and people for this event with hopes of raising funds for the Weaver Domestic Violence Center. It is stated that one out of every 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime and the Weaver Center is paramount in helping these women safely flee these unfortunate situations. This years event featured amazing live and silent auction items, a fashion show and a live performance from country artist Ashley Monroe. Not sure if their numbers are in as of yet, but judging from their tremendous turnout they exceeded their goal by a longshot.
Big thanks to Jenifer Lyle, Michelle Mowery Johnson

Last week, I attended the Bloggers preview event to find out what deals Opry Mills is offering for Black Friday through the holiday season. Some of my favorite participating stores are BCBG, Banana Republic, Cole Haan, Cosmetic Market & Saks Off 5th. Lets just say you won't be disappointed with the many steals and deals these stores are offering.
For the brave souls shopping on Black Friday...Good Luck!

Hello Everyone, I have been out of the fashion blogosphere for a little while as I am 8.5 months pregnant with my first baby, it's a girl!!! Indeed the fashion gods are on my side ;) I can try to blame my lack of blogging on my pregnancy, but quite frankly it is mostly due to the fact that there have been very few newsworthy fashion events going on lately. That is, until now...
Not one, but two of fashion's heavy hitters are auctioning off their wardrobes.
Firstly, the late great Diana Vreeland's wardrobe will be auctioned off this weekend by Kerry Taylor Auctions. For anyone who does not know the legacy of Diana Vreeland, she was the editor in Chief of both Harper Bazaar and American Vogue with a career in fashion spanning almost 50 years. You can only imagine this woman's archives being that she was close friends with every legendary designer that lived. The most sought after piece is the haute couture gown she commisioned from Yves Saint Laurent to wear to the Met Ball in 1985 which is embellished with Lesage embroidery, beading and golden glass stones, is expected to sell for between £2,000 to £3,000. The second collection up for sale is that of British journalist Suzy Menkes. She will be auctioning her collection off at Christie's. Menkes also has an extremely impressive background in fashion and will be selling off her archives which she has held in storage for many years. Some of her collection includes iconic vintage pieces from the house of Pucci, Ossie Clark, YSL and so many more. As a major vintage collector I will be tracking these sales. If only my budget allowed me to buy some of these pieces...this is what dreams are made of.
